Membership Committee

The membership relations committee is dedicated to the recruitment of new members and retention of currently existing members.  This is accomplished through constant communication with members and prospective members answering their questions, providing information and encouraging them to attend events and committee meetings.  This committee is also responsible for the annual collection of membership donations and making the request for prospective members to commit to a membership with HYP.  Committee members are responsible for making the transition of new members into HYP easier by creating a welcoming environment at events and through “welcome” email messages explaining the benefits of their new membership. Volunteer Committee

The volunteering committee’s primary responsibility is to coordinate and monitor the Habitat Young Professional build days.  The volunteer committee seeks to offer more volunteer events through working with other local non-profit organizations, such as The Salvation Army and Madison Festivals Inc.  The committee meetings are every 4-6 weeks on Wednesday nights at 6pm. Events Committee

The events committee is responsible for the development, organization, planning, and execution of HYP events. The committee provides the opportunity for engaging activities that spreads HYP’s influence throughout the community. Members on the committee meet monthly to organize social hours at venues around Madison, plan the annual Wine Tasting Event, and the annual Volleyball Tournament in addition hopes to establish another major fundraiser. Golf Outing Committee

The golf outing committee is a group of individuals that plan, organize, and manage HYP's largest fundraiser.  Members of this committee are responsible for helping acquire new sponsors, as well as maintaining HYP’s relationships with current sponsors.  By using a relationship-focused approach with our sponsors, we are helping create partnerships for the long-term success of the annual golf outing.  Beyond seeking sponsors, the committee is responsible for all planning, preparation, and day-of activities for the outing.  Ensuring that we create a fast paced, fun, and memorable experience for all our guests is crucial to the golf outing’s success.  Ultimately, the goal of this committee is to continue to grow the outing into one of the premiere charity golf events in the Madison area.
