Personnel Committee Committee Description: Is responsible for developing employment policies, assessing staffing needs, reviewing and setting the compensation structure for staff, and oversight of general personnel-related issues. Faith Relations Committee Committee Description: Works with church leaders and members to strengthen partnership opportunities between HFHDC and area churches. Communications Committee Description: Assists in developing policies, plans and programs for internal and external communication. Provides advice and guidance and as requested may be given responsibility for specific projects. Construction Committee Description: Considers construction-related policy matters such as compliance with OSHA safety regulations, budgeting, scheduling and design recommendations to the Executive Director. Family Selection Committee Description: Hosts Informational Meetings and determine program eligibility for potential family partners. In addition, the committee provides HFHDC Board of Directors recommendations for approval of family partners. Family Partners/Support Committee Description: Coordinates trainings for families so they can become successful homeowners. Trains, overees homeowner mentors, who support and advocate for families in the HFHDC program. Green Team Committee Description: Lead volunteer crews in the landscaping of lawns of future homeowners. Team members also assist families in choosing and placing their landscaping and raise money for landscaping through the annual plant sale. For time commitment, work is seasonal and planting workdays are generally in May, June, September, and early October. The committee meets three or four times per year. Land Acquisition Team Committee Description: Provides legal and technical support to evaluate project feasibility and development strategy for locations of future Habitat for Humanity of Dane County homes.
