We are the Strait family: Theresa – super mom, Silas James (10) Lily Abigal (6), & Jedidiah Lee (5).

We are extremely excited to have been chosen to receive a Habitat for Humanity home! We can’t even begin to put our gratitude into words for our volunteers, sponsors, or anyone involved in making this possible. Thank you so much for making our dream come true.

I grew up in Sun Prairie with 16 siblings. I work for the Department of Transportation with tons of supportive co-workers. My children and I have been through some tough times. This is the chance of a lifetime that we have been praying for. I personally feel that I have won the lottery!

Silas, my oldest son, is doing very well in 4th grade. He enjoys camping, fishing, football, basketball, and riding his bike. He hates not having a basement and dislikes asparagus.

Lily is very social in her 1st grade class. She loves volleyball, her mom and brothers. She is ecstatic about getting her own bedroom. Lily has shared a bedroom with mom for a long, long time.

Jedidiah is my always on, “full throttle” child. His energy just keeps going and going. He loves trains, kindergarten and his two cats.

‘Forever Family’ is our motto. I can only dream about having our first Christmas in our new home. We would like to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts. God bless each and every one of you, for you all are truly Earth Angels.
