The Borntrager-Miller Family
Started on: 05/09/09
Completed: 05/18/10
Sponsors: Oregon High School Build

My name is Fannie Borntrager. I currently live in Sun Prairie with my two daughters, McKenzie who is 24, Tiffany who is 16, my mom, Elizabeth and our mini dachschund, Lilly. I work at the UW Hospital as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). I’ve been there for almost four years and love my job very much.

McKenzie still lives at home with us because she has a cognitive learning disability and seizures. She is a very sweet girl who can make anyone smile. She likes to chat with her friends on-line and this summer she is going to try to get a part-time job at the new Target. She loves to watch wrestling on TV and can tell you all about the wrestlers.

Tiffany is a very smart girl. She’s going to high school in Sun Prairie. She likes to babysit and is looking forward to getting her driver’s license this summer and graduating soon. She likes surfing the internet and looking for all the best deals.

My mom, Elizabeth Miller, lives with us too. She’s retired and loves to quilt. She has been making a quilt for each of her children--six of them with one left to make and one on her quilt frame that she is almost finished with. She’s also made one for almost all of her grandkids. She has twelve of them, and has four quilts left to make. She likes to go stay with her kids throughout the year, giving her more time to spend with her grandkids.

We are all very excited to be getting our Habitat home. We are happy it will be handicap accessible for Elizabeth. That will make things so much easier for her. We would like to say “Thank You” to Habitat for Humanity of Dane County for selecting our family to work with. Thank you to all the sponsors and organizations who are helping build our house. Thank you to the Oregon High School Trades Program for being a sponsor of our house. Thank you very much to every one who has volunteered to help make this possible. We appreciate it very much and are very grateful to be able to be part of such an awesome experience.
