Duluth Trading Company helps Volunteers Beat the Heat at Habitat for Humanity of Dane County Framing Frenzy August 17, 2009 WHAT: Water games and a free lunch is how one locally based company will reward about 40 Habitat for Humanity of Dane County volunteers on Wednesday, Aug. 19 for their hard work. A dunk tank and the giant Duluth Trading Company work pants will be hoisted above the Habitat for Humanity of Dane County Framing Frenzy job site in the Northport Commons neighborhood in Madison. The Belleville-based company will also provide Sweat Survival and tradesman-tested clothing gear for the volunteers. “The dunk tank and water games are definitely a unique and fun way for our volunteers to cool off,” said Perry Ecton, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Dane County. “It should be a lot of fun and I know our volunteers always appreciate the free lunch and the excellent quality clothing products of the Duluth Trading Company.” The volunteers are part of a Framing Frenzy project where Habitat for Humanity of Dane County is framing three homes, for three families in three weeks. As a thank you to the Framing Frenzy volunteers, Duluth Trading Company will provide free work-site tested clothing gear, prizes and lunch. The lunch time break will also include a chance for the volunteers to cool off in dunk tanks and play water games. Habitat’s Framing Frenzy starts Aug. 18 and runs through Sept. 4. Habitat for Humanity encourages individual and group volunteers to help build more homes for families in need. Volunteer opportunities are available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Northport Commons in the Northside of Madison. Visit www.habitatdane.org to learn more.
