Melissa Gilbert, Cast of Little House on the Prairie, the Musical to help build a Habitat for Humanity house in Madison

Little House Cast to Build on Thursday, Jan. 21 [MADISON, WI] — Melissa Gilbert and the cast and crew members of “Little House on the Prairie: The Musical,” will help build a Habitat for Humanity house at 3505 Ridgeway Ave., in Madison, during the morning of Thursday, Jan. 21. The special build event with Habitat for Humanity of Dane County is part of a 26-city tour, where cast members have been building with local Habitat affiliates and their families. At the culmination of the tour, the musical will make a minimum donation of $1,500 to Habitat affiliates in each of the show’s tour markets.

Habitat for Humanity of Dane County provides simple, decent, affordable housing for families who might not otherwise become homeowners. Eligible families pay monthly mortgage payments on a 0% interest loan, and contribute from 300 to 350 hours of sweat equity in the building of their homes and an additional 25 hours helping other Habitat homeowners build their homes.
