(MADISON, WI) – Two families will kick off construction of their homes on Saturday, May 15. The homes are located next to each other, just off of Northport Drive in Madison.
Tang Hang and dad Doua have three children under the age of five. Tang works at Fidelity Information Service and Doua is home with the children.
“Among balancing work, home chores, kids and the bills, we try to balance some time out for ‘family time’ by spending time with close family at family functions such as picnics and traditional/cultural socials,” Tang said. “The kids love nature and learning outdoors. We especially love family fishing trips to Devil’s Lake.”
Latasha Ivy is the mother of two boys. She works at Trinity Senior Community.
“In the last three years, we have moved three times. When I think of having a home of my own, I think of a sense of security and a safe, stable place to raise my sons,” Latasha said. “We are very excited and thankful for this opportunity.”
The Tang Hang Family kick off celebration will be at 8:30 a.m. at 529 Moose Trail, Madison and the Ivy Family wall raising ceremony will be at 12:30 p.m. at 525 Moose Trail, Madison.
