Habitat for Humanity Building in Stoughton for 15 Years; Kick Off Celebration set for Friday, May 21, 4 p.m. May 20, 2010 Kick Off Ceremony for the Wright/Coulombe Family (Stoughton, WI) – Habitat for Humanity of Dane County and a group of dedicated local volunteers have been building in Stoughton for 15 years. The first Habitat for Humanity home was built in Stoughton in 1995 on North Madison Street. Today, the group is planning on constructing its ninth Habitat home in Stoughton. The first volunteer construction day for the Stoughton home will begin on Friday, May 21. Help us celebrate at a kick off ceremony at 516 Gjertson, at 4 p.m. “My husband, Mike, is a former Marine,” said Brady Wright. “We’ve been married for three years and have a 14-month old son named Alex. We both enjoy gardening and being outdoors. Building our own home with Habitat for Humanity of Dane County means a lot. It means having our own yard for our son to play in. It also means having big family gatherings at our own home. Thank you Habitat volunteers for all your hard work.” Sponsors of the home are Universal and Wells Fargo in Stoughton. Habitat for Humanity of Dane County has built 170 simple, decent and affordable homes for families in need. To learn more go to www.habitatdane.org. |
