Northport Drive Build Project

In April 2008, Habitat for Humanity of Dane County purchased 31 lots in the Northport Commons area off Northport Drive. HFHDC will build on 20 of the lots, sell five lots to a private developer and then add a neighborhood park to the community.

Housing on four of the Habitat lots will be targeted for individuals over the age of 50 or with a disability. The remaining 16 lots will be for families.

The first Urban Neighborhood Initiative project kicked off construction in October, 2008.
