How to Volunteer Opportunities for volunteering at Habitat for Humanity of Dane County are available in a variety of ways: as an individual, an organization, faith community, business or a community. Our volunteers partner with our families to build homes but also play a vital role in fulfilling other non-building site needs, including many opportunities at our Habitat ReStore. Please go to our Volunteer Hub to register and sign up for volunteer opportunities. If you are unsure exactly where and how to volunteer after reviewing the rest of this site and our Habitat volunteer form, please call our office at 255-1549. Notes before arriving at the worksite: Tools: Everything you need will be supplied. We welcome volunteers to bring their own work gloves, hammers, construction measuring tapes, tool belts, carpenter’s pencil, and/or utility knives. Food and Beverages: Lunches will be provided on Saturdays. If you are volunteering on a weekday please bring your own lunch. There will always be coffee and water on site.
