Habitat ReStore Volunteer Opportunities Warehouse Volunteers The majority of volunteers needed at the Habitat ReStore are warehouse volunteers. They prepare, stock, and display donated materials as well as assist in loading customer purchases. All these task are completed while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The warehouse volunteers work both independently and as a team. Cashier and Sales Volunteers Cashier and sales volunteers are vital to the Habitat ReStore operation. They are often the first and last face seen by our customers. Cashiers are need to: greet customers in a friendly and helpful manner, answer the telephone, assist customers in locating and loading materials and of course, operate the cash register. Volunteers are needed for one shift per week. Shifts are available Wednesday through Saturday 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 2 - 6 p.m. A six-month commitment is required. Other volunteer opportunities are available with the Habitat ReStore. Deconstruction Volunteer Opportunities Volunteers are needed for current and upcoming deconstruction projects. The Deconstruction Crew removes cabinets, fixtures, flooring and even walls in an effort to reuse as much of a building as possible before demolition. We are in need of volunteers who can be available and ‘on-call’ to work when we get the go-ahead for a job. Training, safety information, and all tools needed to complete the job will be provided.
