Women Build
Habitat for Humanity of Dane County’s Women Build invites women to address the problem of substandard housing and its effects on the health and well-being of children. Much more than a simple home construction project, the Women Build brings individuals and groups of women together to create something very special while engaging in activities that inspire a sense of community as well as personal accomplishment. When women come together in a supportive environment, the results are amazing!
The sixth Women Build project was kicked off on Saturday, May 10. The Kalisa-Uwamahoro family will build with the HFHDC Women Build in the Twin Oaks subdivision in Madison. Women volunteers are needed. If you would like to make a visible difference in Dane County, come swing a hammer, power a saw or wield a paint brush as part of the Women Build, contact Lisa Delany at 608-255-1549.
